ICRSE participate in XXI International AIDS Conference, Durban

On 18-22 July 2016, ICRSE staff took part in the 21st International AIDS Conference (AIDS 2016) held in Durban, South Africa. AIDS 2016 conference brought together over 18 000 scientists, policymakers, world leaders, people living with HIV and members of the communities most affected by HIV, including sex workers, willing to engage in a debate over the current trends in the HIV epidemic and challenges to end AIDS.  ICRSE's poster, titled ‘Developing collective leadership in HIV response’, presented at the conference focused on ICRSE’s community-led capacity building programme on 'Sex Work, HIV and Human Rights' among sex workers in Europe.

You can dowload the poster here.

Some of the highlights of the conference included a sex worker only-pre meeting coordinated by the Global Network of Sex Work projects, participation in the Global Village where sex workers from all the world could meet each others and members of other organisations and a protest against criminalisation of sex work.
